KATHMANDU: The District Hotel Entrepreneurs’ Association has urged for an environment conducive to the smooth operation of hotels in Kathmandu district.

The Association met Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Chhabi Rijal, and requested for his initiatives to create a favourable environment for smooth functioning of the hotels. Association’s president, Suresh Baral, demanded that hotel operations be allowed to run until midnight.

The CDO was requested to create an environment conducive for the hotels at Thamel and Durbar Marg so that they can run 24 hours, and also to allow hotels in the areas like New Bus Park, Sundhara, Gaushala, Bagbazaar, and Kalanki to operate until midnight.

During the meeting, CDO Rijal responded positively that he would discuss the demands and problems raised by entrepreneurs with the relevant authorities to seek solutions. He also pledged cooperation in managing hotel safely and systematically.
