KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel described the newly unveiled national budget as both realistic and responsive to the dual demands of public expectation and national necessity.
Speaking briefly after presenting the budget, Minister Paudel stated, “We have brought a realistic budget that addresses the people’s aspirations and the nation’s necessities within the limits of resource management. The budget emphasizes fiscal discipline, austerity, and expenditure control. It aims to avoid repeating past mistakes and is geared to confront the economic challenges.”
Highlighting key priorities, Paudel said the budget focuses on boosting investment, production, productivity, entrepreneurship, and employment generation.
He emphasized that the limited financial resources would be directed toward high-return programs and projects through efficient allocation.
“The budget will boost morale across all sectors of production,” Paudel said, noting that it is designed to encourage private sector investment, and promote startups, youth-led ventures, and entrepreneurship.
Concluding his remarks, Paudel stressed the importance of cooperation and support from all sectors to ensure the successful implementation of the budget’s provisions and goals.
