RAMECHHAP: Regular flights between Ramechhap and Kathmandu have resumed from Wednesday.
Summit Air, Sita Air, and Tara Air have begun operating flights on this route following coordination among the local administration, political parties, people’s representatives, and civil society.
Flights on the Ramechhap–Kathmandu route had been halted in recent days as 50 to 60 daily flights were being conducted between Ramechhap and Lukla.
The decision to restart the service was made after the BP Highway was blocked due to heavy rainfall on October 3, 4 and 5.
The distance from Manthali to Kathmandu via the BP Highway is about 125 kilometers, while the route via Charikot and Dolalghat is roughly 200 kilometers.
According to the Civil Aviation Office in Ramechhap, Summit Air will operate flights every Wednesday, Sita Air every Friday, and Tara Air every Saturday on the Ramechhap–Kathmandu–Ramechhap route.
