KATHMANDU: Fluctuations in the international market, a steady rise in prices, and changing demand have driven gold prices upward in Nepal’s domestic market.
According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold today has been fixed at NPR 247,000 per tola. The price of silver has also increased, reaching NPR 3,200 per tola.
Yesterday, the price of gold was NPR 242,700 per tola, while silver was traded at NPR 3,115 per tola. Within a day, gold rose by NPR 5,200, and silver increased by NPR 85.
According to international media, an ounce of gold is being traded today at USD 4,141, and the same amount of silver at USD 51.
