KATHMANDU: The price of gold set a new record on Sunday, reaching Rs 212,000 per tola.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold had stood at Rs 210,400 per tola on Friday. By Sunday, it rose by Rs 1,600.

The federation also reported a rise in silver prices.

Silver, which was Rs 2,490 per tola on Friday, increased by Rs 10 to reach Rs 2,500 per tola on Sunday.
