Gold price sets new record

KATHMANDU: Gold prices have reached an all-time high today, making it the most expensive ever in the Nepali market.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation, the price of gold has surged to Rs 171,300 per tola today, setting a new record.

Yesterday (Monday), the price stood at Rs 170,800, with the price rising by Rs 500 per tola. This increase has set a new record for gold prices.

After a dip of Rs 1,000 per tola last Friday, gold prices have been climbing steadily since then.

In contrast, the price of silver has decreased today. The Federation reports a drop of Rs 15 per tola, bringing the price of silver to Rs 1,970 per tola, down from Rs 1,985 yesterday.
