KATHMANDU: The price of gold in the Nepali market has crossed Rs 200,000 per tola, reaching a record high.
Compared to Thursday, gold has increased by Rs 1,200 per tola, while silver has gone up by Rs 5.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, gold is being traded at Rs 200,600 per tola today.
Silver prices stand at Rs 2,360 per tola. Yesterday, one tola of gold was sold at Rs 199,400, and silver was trading at Rs 2,350 per tola.
Analysts say the rise reflects both domestic demand and fluctuations in international gold markets.
