KATHMANDU: Government has initiated the process to appoint a new chairperson of the Insurance Authority, forming a three-member recommendation committee.
A cabinet meeting on August 25 set up the panel under National Planning Commission Vice Chair Shivraj Adhikari, with Finance Secretary Ghanshyam Upadhyay as a member and Khomraj Kharel as an expert member.
The move follows the dismissal of former chair Sharad Ojha. After his removal, the government temporarily handed over the authority’s leadership to Sevantak Pokharel.
