KATHMANDU: The government has abolished the Value Added Tax (VAT) on digital payments.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel announced the removal of VAT on digital transactions while presenting the budget for the fiscal year 2082/83.
