KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has said the government is actively working to dismantle institutional capture and policy manipulation entrenched by elite networks.

Speaking at a program in the capital, he said past reports on exploitation and corruption are “shocking” and stressed the need to end collusion between business interests and corrupt politicians.

Wagle urged the private sector not to protect wrongdoing and emphasized reforms to create a fair environment for honest entrepreneurs.

He said the government is committed to improving laws, promoting clean business practices, and ensuring investment-friendly policies.
