KATHMANDU: Jagadamba Hospitality Group has denied rumors circulating on social media about the sale of the Hilton Kathmandu hotel in Naxal. In a press statement issued on Sunday, the Jagadamba Hospitality clarified that no discussions or processes regarding the sale of the property have taken place.

“We would like to inform the public that Hilton Kathmandu, operated by Jagadamba Hospitality Group, has not entered into any sale process, nor has there been any discussion regarding such a matter,” the statement said.

The clarification follows widespread rumors on social media that Jayabir Deuba, son of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, had acquired the hotel. The group has strongly refuted the claim and expressed concern over the misinformation.

“We strongly object to the circulation of misleading news that irresponsibly links the names of political figures and business families. Such rumors can seriously damage both business reputations and political credibility,” the company stated.

Hilton Kathmandu, a five-star establishment in the heart of the capital, also reaffirmed its commitment to delivering high-quality hospitality services.

Hilton Kathmandu, part of Hilton Hotels & Resorts—the world’s second-largest hotel chain—was built by Shankar Group with an investment of Rs 8 billion. The five-star hotel features 174 rooms and took seven years to complete. Hilton operates across 126 countries under 24 brands.

The hotel offers customizable experiences, including flexible check-in/out times, service upgrades, executive lounge access, and adaptable banquet spaces. “Whether intimate or grand, these venues transform to suit specific needs,” the hotel states.

Hilton Kathmandu features five dining venues. The Lava Box and Hava, located in the lobby, offer quick bites and bistro-style meals. Asa, on the 13th floor, showcases live cooking with fresh ingredients. Orion, the rooftop bar named after the visible constellation, offers scenic views, while Lyra, the poolside bar, features cabanas and loungers.
