KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Finance has announced that the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) project in Nepal, which had been put on hold after Donald Trump assumed the U.S. presidency, is now set to continue.

In a press release issued on Monday, the ministry stated that the review process initiated under the executive order of January 20, 2025, has now concluded.

The MCC, through a letter dated July 24, 2025, informed that the review has ended and recommended the continuation of Nepal’s compact.
