KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has released the official foreign exchange rates applicable for Sunday. According to the central bank, the buying rate for the US dollar has been set at Rs 135.04, while the selling rate is Rs 135.64. The euro is trading at Rs 153.13 for buying and Rs 153.81 for selling.
The British pound is valued at Rs 179.55 for buying and Rs 180.35 for selling, whereas the Swiss franc is available at Rs 163.91 for buying and Rs 164.64 for selling.
Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar stands at Rs 86.91 (buying) and Rs 87.30 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 97.71 (buying) and Rs 98.14 (selling), and the Singapore dollar at Rs 104.19 and Rs 104.66, respectively.
In the Asian currency segment, 10 Japanese yen are being exchanged at Rs 9.35 for buying and Rs 9.39 for selling. The Chinese yuan is set at Rs 18.57 (buying) and Rs 18.65 (selling). The Saudi riyal trades at Rs 36.01 for buying and Rs 36.17 for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 37.05 and Rs 37.21, respectively.
The Thai baht is priced at Rs 4.09 (buying) and Rs 4.11 (selling), and the UAE dirham is valued at Rs 36.77 for buying and Rs 36.93 for selling. The Malaysian ringgit is being exchanged at Rs 31.69 for buying and Rs 31.83 for selling.
For other currencies, 100 South Korean won are valued at Rs 9.65 (buying) and Rs 9.69 (selling), the Swedish kronor at Rs 13.99 and Rs 14.06, and the Danish kronor at Rs 20.52 and Rs 20.61. The Hong Kong dollar is trading at Rs 17.42 (buying) and Rs 17.50 (selling).
Among Gulf currencies, the Kuwaiti dinar has the highest value, with a buying rate of Rs 440.34 and a selling rate of Rs 442.30. The Bahraini dinar is being exchanged at Rs 358.18 for buying and Rs 359.77 for selling, while the Omani rial stands at Rs 350.76 and Rs 352.32, respectively. Additionally, 100 Indian rupees are being exchanged at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
