KATHMANDU: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), facing persistent flight schedule disruptions and maintenance issues, has made significant staff changes at its foreign offices, the national flag carrier said on Monday.

The reshuffle was carried out under Section 71 of the “Foreign Office Transfer Procedure, 2019,” with new appointments set for a two-year term.

Under the new arrangement, eighth-tier officials have been appointed as Country Managers in key international stations, including Delhi, Hong Kong, Dammam, Doha, and Kuala Lumpur. Ramesh Paudel has been assigned to Kuala Lumpur, Dograj Kyapchhaki to Doha, Migi KC to Hong Kong, Kamal Gyawali to Delhi, and Anju Sharma Marasini to Dammam. Additionally, seventh-tier officials have been appointed as Station Managers at airports, with Tej Bahadur Thapa in Narita and Arbind Kumar Kamati in Dammam.

The restructuring also includes appointments for finance management positions in Hong Kong, Dammam, and Narita. Naresh Yadav will oversee finance in Hong Kong, Rajan Ghimire in Narita, and Subash Marasini in Dammam.

Sixth-tier officers have been assigned to manage operations at stations in Dubai, Hong Kong, and Doha, with Suresh Raj Subedi in Dubai, Gurusharan Sah in Hong Kong, and Krishna Prasad Bajgain in Doha. Kamal Pratap Sen has been transferred to Kuala Lumpur in the same capacity.

Nepal Airlines, which previously operated offices in Paris, London, Frankfurt, and Shanghai, has been struggling to maintain a smooth flight schedule due to ongoing operational and financial challenges.
