Nepal Rastra Bank updates foreign exchange rates for Wednesday

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published today’s (Wednesday) exchange rates for various foreign currencies.

The value of the US dollar, along with the Kuwaiti and Bahraini dinars, has declined, while the euro, pound sterling, and Australian dollar have appreciated.

As per today’s rates, the buying rate for 1 US dollar stands at Rs 136.24, and the selling rate is Rs 136.84.

After remaining unchanged for the past three days, the dollar has slightly dropped. On Tuesday, the buying and selling rates were Rs 136.30 and Rs 136.90, respectively.

Today, the euro is being bought at Rs 151.36 and sold at Rs 152.02, a small increase from yesterday’s rates of Rs 151.27 and Rs 151.94.

The pound has also strengthened slightly, with a buying rate of Rs 179.95 and a selling rate of Rs 180.74. On Tuesday, these rates were Rs 179.40 and Rs 180.19.

Similarly, the Australian dollar has become more expensive, with today’s buying rate at Rs 87.36 and selling rate at Rs 87.74. Yesterday, it was Rs 87.13 (buying) and Rs 87.51 (selling).

In contrast, the Kuwaiti dinar has slipped to Rs 442.97 for buying and Rs 444.92 for selling, down from Rs 443.18 and Rs 445.13 yesterday.

The Bahraini dinar has also edged down, with today’s buying rate at Rs 361.40 and selling rate at Rs 362.99. On the previous day, the rates were Rs 361.54 and Rs 363.13.
