KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has invited applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). A selection committee led by Joint Secretary Sewantak Pokharel from the Ministry of Finance announced the vacancy on Monday. Interested candidates must submit their applications within seven days of the notice’s publication, with the deadline set for March 1.
To qualify, applicants must hold at least a postgraduate degree or equivalent in economics, commerce, finance, management, information technology, or law from a recognized institution. Chartered accountancy certification is also considered valid.
Candidates must also have a minimum of 15 years of professional experience, including at least seven years in a senior management role in capital markets, financial sectors, or management-related fields.
The Ministry of Finance formed the selection committee on Sunday, following a decision by the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister. The committee consists of Joint Secretary Amrit Lamsal from the Finance Ministry and financial expert Khomraj Kharel as members.
The CEO position at NEPSE has remained vacant since February 8, following the end of former CEO Krishna Bahadur Karki’s tenure.
