KATHMANDU: On the third trading day of the week, today (Tuesday), the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has decreased by 10.25 points.
Since the beginning of this week, NEPSE has been continuously sliding downward. NEPSE had decreased by 10.25 points on Sunday, while it dropped by 26.05 points on Monday.
Compared to the previous day, NEPSE decreased by 0.38 percent on Tuesday. With this, NEPSE has stalled at 2,662.14 points.
The Sensitive Index also decreased by 1.26 points and dropped to the 454.39 point level. The Sensitive Index decreased by 0.27 percent compared to the previous trading day.
In NEPSE on Tuesday, 21,715,868 shares were bought and sold in 89,834 transactions of 324 companies. In this, a turnover equivalent to Rs 8.616 billion occurred on Tuesday.
In NEPSE, a turnover equivalent to Rs 10.773 billion occurred on Monday, while a turnover of Rs 11.659 billion had occurred on Sunday.

While 13 groups were traded in NEPSE on Tuesday, only the indices of two groups increased. The indices of the remaining 11 groups turned red.
Accordingly, the index of the Commercial Bank group decreased by 0.09 percent, Development Bank by 1.15, Finance by 0.91, Hotel and Tourism by 0.48, Hydropower by 0.25, and Investment by 0.54 percent.
Similarly, life insurance decreased by 0.76, the manufacturing and processing group by 0.65, and the microfinance group by 0.49 percent. Meanwhile, Mutual Fund increased by 0.19 percent, while the Non-Life Insurance group decreased by 0.61 and the Others group by 0.35 percent. Similarly, the trading group moved upward by 0.52 percent.
In NEPSE on Tuesday, while the prices of 74 companies increased, 179 companies decreased. The share prices of seven companies remained stable.
In NEPSE, which was fluctuating throughout the day on Tuesday, investors of Kalinchowk Darshan Limited earned the most, by 6.36 percent. The final trading price of Kalinchowk was maintained at Rs 995.
Similarly, investors of Corporate Development Bank Limited lost the most share value by 5.24 percent. Its final share price was maintained at Rs 1,610.
Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited was the company with the most trading today. A turnover of Rs 452.8 million occurred for it on Tuesday. The final share price of Arun Valley was maintained at Rs 294 per share.
