KATHMANDU: On the third trading day of the week, Tuesday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) decreased by 12.58 points.
While NEPSE decreased by 19.85 points on Sunday, it had increased by 1.53 points on Monday. Falling by 0.46 percent compared to the previous trading day, NEPSE settled at the 2,683.15 level.
The Sensitive Index also dropped by 2.45 points to fall to the 456.71 level. The Sensitive Index decreased by 0.53 percent compared to the previous trading day. Today, 18,703,183 shares of 322 companies were bought and sold through 92,338 transactions on NEPSE. In this, a turnover of Rs 8.631 billion occurred on Tuesday.
On Sunday, a turnover of Rs 9.109 billion occurred on NEPSE, while on Monday, a turnover of Rs 8.223 billion took place.
Out of the 13 groups traded on NEPSE today (Tuesday), the indices of only three groups increased. The indices of the remaining 10 groups decreased. Accordingly, while the Commercial Bank group index decreased by 0.63 percent, Development Bank by 0.61 percent, and Finance by 1.09 percent, Hotel and Tourism increased by 1.79 percent.

On Tuesday, the Hydropower group decreased by 0.97 percent, Investment by 0.51 percent, and Life Insurance by 0.39 percent on NEPSE.
Similarly, the Manufacturing and Processing group increased by 0.37 percent. The microfinance group, however, decreased by 0.42 percent. The mutual fund group increased by 1.00 percent. Likewise, non-life insurance decreased by 0.35 percent, the Others group by 0.56 percent, and the Trading group by 0.46 percent.
On NEPSE on Tuesday, the prices of 66 companies increased while those of 190 companies decreased. The share prices of three companies remained stable.
In the fluctuating NEPSE throughout the day, the investors of Kalinchowk Darshan earned 10 percent today. That is, a positive circuit was triggered in the share price of Kalinchowk.
Similarly, the investors of Sanvi Energy Company lost the most at 4.63 percent of their share price. Its final share price was maintained at Rs 907.
Today, the highest volume of share trading was for SY Panel Nepal. On Tuesday, a turnover of Rs 592.9 million occurred for it. The final share price of SY Panel was maintained at Rs 2,129 per share.
