KATHMANDU: On the final trading day of the week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index witnessed a slight decline, dropping by 1.66 percent to settle at 2,607.37 points.
A total of 77,68,601 shares of 326 companies were traded 69,729 times, generating a turnover of Rs. 3.49 billion. In today’s market performance, share prices of 98 companies increased, 149 declined, and 11 remained unchanged.
The sub-indices for banking, life insurance, manufacturing and processing, microfinance, and trading saw modest gains, while development banks, finance, hotels and tourism, hydropower, investment, non-life insurance, and others experienced declines.
Swastik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited hit the positive circuit, whereas Muktinath Krishi Company Limited suffered the biggest drop with a decline of 8.42 percent. Ngadi Group Power Limited recorded the highest trading volume for the day.
