NEPSE drops by 30 points to settle at 2,846.30

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has seen a decline of 30.36 points. The NEPSE index, which rose by a high point on the first day of trading this week, continued to decline by double digits on Monday and today. After a decline of 1.05 percent, the NEPSE index is now at 2,846.30.

According to the NEPSE, 26.389 million shares of 318 companies were bought and sold 122,336 times, resulting in a turnover of Rs 12.946 billion. All the sub-indices of the group decreased in today’s trading. Banking decreased by 1.05, Development Bank decreased by 0.39, Finance decreased by 2.10, Hotel and Tourism decreased by 0.97 and Hydropower decreased by 1.08 percent.

Similarly, investment decreased by 1.75 percent, life insurance by 0.69 percent, production and processing by 2.21 percent, microfinance by 1.41 percent, mutual funds by 0.55 percent, non-life insurance by 1.11 percent, trade by 0.84 percent and other groups by 0.06 percent.

While the share price of Guardian Microlife Insurance Limited has entered a positive circuit, the share price of Sindhu Bikas Bank Limited has entered a negative circuit. In terms of transaction amount, Himalayan Reinsurance Limited has witnessed the highest transaction today, worth Rs 1.93 billion 78 thousand 983. In terms of the number of shares traded, Ghalemdi Hydropower Limited has witnessed the highest transaction of Rs 1.317 million 842 shares.
