KATHMANDU: The NEPSE index has fallen by 46.33 points on Sunday, the first day of the week to settle at 2,772 points.
The market has fallen for the fifth consecutive day. The market has not turned green since the opening of the market today.
Despite the decline in the market index, the trading volume has remained the same. The previous day’s trading volume was 10.1 billion 100 million, but today’s trading volume was 10.9 billion. While the value of a total of 24 companies increased, 217 decreased, and 2 remained stable.
All sectors have declined on this day. Other sectors have decreased the most by 2.69 percent. The correction in the value of two reinsurance companies, Himalayan Re and Nepal Reinsurance, has had a greater impact on the overall sector.
Banking 1.36, Development Bank 1.71, Finance 1.87, Hydropower 1.66, Investment 2.49, Life Insurance 1.74, Manufacturing 0.91, Microfinance 1.58, Non-Life Insurance 1.26, Others 2.69 and Trade 0.81 percent decreased.
The prices of Guardian Microlife Insurance and Bhulekh Energy increased by 10 percent. The growth rate of other companies that increased was less than 4 percent.
The prices of Upkar Laghubitta and Sindhu Bikas Bank decreased by 10 percent. The prices of Rapti Hydropower decreased by 9.87, Samaj Laghubitta by 7.28 and Sagarmatha Hydropower by 5.28 percent.
Himalayan Reinsurance had the highest turnover of Rs 1.12 billion. The company’s price decreased by 2.52 points. Then, based on turnover, Nepal Reinsurance, NRN Infrastructure, Guardian Microlife Insurance, and CEDB Holdings were in the lead, respectively.
