NEPSE drops by 8.57 points today

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has dropped by 8.57 points on the first trading day of this week. After a decline of 0.31 percent, the NEPSE index has settled at 2,679.98.

According to the NEPSE, 18.5 million 5,771 shares of 314 companies were bought and sold 70,610 times, resulting in a turnover of Rs 7.6 billion 95 million 42,212. Today, the microfinance group increased by 2.32 percent and the trade group increased by 0.13 percent, while all other sub-indices decreased.

Banking decreased by 0.66 percent, Development Bank decreased by 1.46 percent, Finance decreased by 0.99 percent, Hotel and Tourism decreased by 1.75 percent and Hydropower decreased by 0.36 percent.

Similarly, the investment group decreased by 1.03, life insurance by 0.33, production and processing by 0.03, mutual funds by 2.96, non-life insurance by 0.10 and other groups by 0.45 percent.

In today’s trading, the share price of Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals Limited has entered a positive circuit. The share price of Sindhu Bikas Bank Limited has decreased by the most by 8.28 percent.

In terms of transaction amount, Radhi Vidyut Company Limited has recorded the highest transaction today, worth Rs 714.928 million. In terms of the number of shares traded, 1.49 million six hundred and forty-nine shares of Prabhu Select Fund have been bought and sold.
