KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 19.89 points, closing at 2,741.97. Shares worth Rs 4.43 billion were traded today.

Out of the companies traded, 29 saw their share prices rise, while 221 experienced a decline.

Himstar Energy led the gainers with a 9.98% increase, while other stocks saw maximum gains of up to 4.44%.

On the losing side, Unnati Sahakarya dropped 7.47%, and Dordi Khola Hydro fell 7.32%.

Nepal Reinsurance Company traded shares worth Rs 220 million, while Himalayan Reinsurance recorded Rs 200 million in trading today.
