NEPSE falls 31 points on Sunday; all sectors record losses

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) fell by 31 points on Sunday, declining 1.12% to close at 2,749.83 points.

The total trading turnover for the day was Rs 6.618 billion, with 148,569,569 shares exchanged in 97,174 transactions across 321 companies.

During the session, 21 companies recorded price gains, 228 saw their prices decline, and one remained unchanged.
All 13 market sectors ended in the red, with the Development Bank Group posting the steepest loss at 1.59%.

The market experienced heavy selling pressure throughout the day, reflecting investor caution.

Major declines were seen across key sectors including banking, finance, hydropower, and tourism.

Despite the widespread downturn, some microfinance and small-cap companies managed to post modest gains, helping to partially offset losses.
