NEPSE falls by double digits

KATYHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by double digits today. The index fell by 12.50 points to settle at 2,594.87 points.

According to NEPSE, a total of 1,127,216 shares of 330 companies were traded through 60,699 transactions, resulting in a total turnover of NPR 4.74 billion (approximately NPR 4,740,055,077).

During today’s trading session, the banking and mutual fund sub-indices posted marginal gains, while all other sectoral indices closed in negative territory.

Shares of Swastik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited hit the positive circuit today. On the downside, City Hotel Limited recorded the highest loss, with its share price falling by 6.26 percent.

Based on trading value and volume, Kumari Bank Limited (Promoter Shares) topped the list, with 2,493,866 shares traded worth NPR 261.86 million (NPR 261,855,930).
