KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, which had surged significantly on the first trading day of the week, witnessed a double-digit decline on the second day. On Monday, the NEPSE index dropped by 10.53 points to settle at 2,622.88.

According to NEPSE, a total of 1,003,307 shares of 337 companies were traded through 69,548 transactions, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 4.77 billion. During the day’s trading, all sub-indices declined except for the Development Bank and Mutual Fund groups.

Shares of SY Panel Nepal Limited hit the positive circuit, while Vin Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited faced a negative circuit. Based on transaction value, SY Panel Nepal Limited recorded the highest turnover of Rs 230.2 million. In terms of the number of shares traded, Ngadi Group Power Limited topped the list with 302,900 shares exchanged.
