KATHMANDU: After three days of decline, the NEPSE index rebounded by 8.62 points on Monday, closing at 2,867.
The market fluctuated during the session, hitting a low of 2,833 and a high of 2,889.
Total turnover fell to Rs 1.08 billion from Rs 1.3 billion the previous day.
Among 250 traded companies, 140 shares rose while 110 declined.
Banking led sector gains with 0.68%, while hotel, development banks, manufacturing, and finance sectors saw losses.
Top gainers included Sikles Hydropower (+5.73%) and Machhapuchhre Bank (+4.51%). Trade Tower, which had surged earlier, dropped 10% today.
Active stocks included Himalayan Reinsurance, Shivam Cement, and Nepal Reinsurance.
