NEPSE increases by 0.47 points to stand at 2,655.85

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index saw a slight improvement on the first day of trading this week, with the trading volume increasing. Today, the NEPSE index increased by 0.47 points to stand at 2,655.85.

According to the NEPSE, 25,393,762 shares of 308 companies were bought and sold 95,374 times, resulting in a turnover of Rs 11,443,272,636.94, according to NEPSE.

In today’s trading, the development bank group increased by 0.48 percent, hydropower by 0.96 percent, production and processing by 1.47 percent, non-life insurance by 0.07 percent, and trade by 1.08 percent, while all other sub-indices decreased.

Banking decreased by 0.44, finance by 0.59, hotels and tourism by 0.00, investment by 0.76 and life insurance by 0.54 percent. Similarly, microfinance by 0.31, mutual funds by 0.41 and other groups by 0.46 percent.

The share prices of Green Development Bank Limited, Pure Energy Limited and Chyangdi Hydropower Limited have entered a positive circuit. The share price of Nepal Hydro Developers Limited has decreased by the most by 4.43 percent.

In terms of transaction amount, the highest share value of Sanima Mai Hydropower Limited worth Rs 890.1 million was bought and sold today. In terms of number of shares traded, the highest share value of Ngadi Group Power Limited worth 2 million 75 thousand 197 was bought and sold.
