NEPSE increases by 3.14 points to close at 2,743.74

KATHMANDU: The stock market rose by a modest amount on Thursday. The NEPSE rose by 3.14 points to close at 2,743.74 points. The trading volume in the market decreased today. The previous day’s transaction was 10.43 billion, but today it was 8.62 billion.

While the prices of 81 companies increased, 158 decreased, and 5 remained stable. Life insurance showed attraction on this day. This sector increased by 2.42 percent. As the prices of large market companies increased, the business group increased by the most by 3.77 percent.

Non-life insurance increased by 0.64 percent, others by 0.57 percent. The decline rate of the declining sectors remained less than 1 percent. Banking 0.55, Development Bank 0.52, Finance 0.17, Hotel and Tourism 0.31, Hydropower 0.75, Investment 0.37, Manufacturing 0.81, Microfinance 0.30 percent decreased.

Guardian Microlife Insurance increased by 10 percent. Win Nepal Laghubitta increased by 9.69 percent, Aparhewa Khola by 9.14 percent, Laxmi Laghubitta by 8.21 percent, and Upkar Laghubitta by 8.1 percent. Barahi Hydropower decreased by 8.35 percent, Bhooleg Energy by 5.78 percent, and Dibyashwari Hydropower by 4.12 percent.

Based on transaction amount, Nepal Reinsurance Company, Himalayan Reinsurance, CEDB Holdings, NRN Infrastructure, and Narayani Development Bank were the leading companies respectively.
