KATHMANDU: NEPSE index increased by 3.35 points to settle at 2758 points on Monday. A total of 90 companies increased their share prices, while 145 companies decreased their prices. The prices of 9 companies remained stable. Today, shares worth 11.854 billion rupees were traded from 1 lakh 262 share purchases and sales.
Himalayan Reinsurance had the highest transaction of 893.5 million rupees. Similarly, Nepal Reinsurance had a transaction of 806.7 million rupees. Then NRN Infrastructure, Ghalemdi Hydropower and CEDB Holdings were ahead in terms of transaction amount. A total of 211.10 thousand 619 units of shares were bought and sold.
Most subgroups decreased today. As the stock market rose, the transaction amount decreased moderately. The previous day’s transaction was 11.54 billion rupees, but today’s transaction was 11.8 billion rupees. The finance group decreased the most by 1.21 percent. Development Bank 0.09, Hotel and Tourism 0.87, Hydropower 0.15, Life Insurance 0.92, Microfinance 0.63, Non-Life Insurance 0.74 and Trade 0.26 percent decreased.
Guardian Microlife Insurance’s price increased by 10 percent. Win Nepal Laghubitta’s price decreased by 10 percent. Geography Energy Development Company’s price decreased by 5.42, Laxmi Laghubitta’s price decreased by 5.38, Reliance Finance’s price decreased by 4.68 and NLG Insurance’s price decreased by 4.48 percent. Rapti Hydro’s price decreased by 9.4, Bottlers Nepal Balaju’s price decreased by 8, Nepal Hydro Developers’s price decreased by 7.1 and Nepal Reinsurance Company’s price decreased by 6.4 percent.
