KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has seen a modest increase. Today, the NEPSE index increased by 7.13 points to stand at 2,765.88.
According to NEPSE, 17,865,703 shares of 312 companies were bought and sold 97,562 times, resulting in a transaction worth Rs 9.9 billion 9386,227.
In today’s transaction, banking increased by 0.02, hotel and tourism by 0.05, investment by 0.77, life insurance by 0.81, production and processing by 0.18, mutual fund by 0.05 and other groups by 2.90 percent. Sub-indices of all other groups decreased.
Development Bank decreased by 0.12, Finance by 0.71, Microfinance by 0.15, Non-Life Insurance by 0.28 and Business Group by 2.51 percent.
The positive circuit in the share price of Guardian Microlife Insurance Limited continued today. The share price of Win Nepal Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited decreased by 8.97 percent.
In terms of transaction amount, Himalayan Reinsurance Limited had the highest transaction today, worth Rs 1.26 billion. Similarly, in terms of the number of shares traded, the highest transaction was made by Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited with 1 million 31 thousand 288 promoter shares.
