NEPSE index drops by double digits as market sees mixed performance

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index experienced a double-digit decline today, dropping by 11.97 points to settle at 2,646.95.

A total of 313 companies traded 13.78 million shares across 59,130 transactions, amounting to a turnover of NPR 5.16 billion, according to NEPSE.

Among sectoral performances, only the Mutual Fund and Trading groups showed gains, while all other groups saw their sub-indices fall. Shares of Om MegaShree Pharmaceuticals Limited and Pure Energy Limited hit the positive circuit today.

The biggest loser was Corporate Development Bank Limited, whose share price fell by 5.81 percent.

Based on turnover and the number of shares traded, Arun Kabeli Power Limited recorded the highest volume with 1.35 million shares traded worth NPR 362.6 million.
