NEPSE index increases by 19 points to stand at 2,698.03

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has seen a double-digit increase on the first trading day of the week. Today, the NEPSE index increased by 19.56 points to stand at 2,698.03.

According to NEPSE, 29,984,440 shares of 309 companies were bought and sold 96,282 times, resulting in a turnover of Rs 9.47 billion, 38,266.

In today’s trading, mutual funds and non-life insurance decreased by 0.11 percent and 1.28 percent, while all other sub-indices increased. The finance group increased the most by 4.94 percent. Banking increased by 0.98 percent, development banks by 0.08 percent, hotels and tourism by 1.95 percent and hydropower by 0.36 percent. Similarly, investment increased by 1.17 percent, life insurance by 0.39 percent, production and processing by 0.20 percent, microfinance by 1.86 percent, trade by 0.25 percent and other groups by 0.38 percent.

The share prices of Bin Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, Janaki Finance Company Limited, Nepal Finance Limited have seen a positive circuit, while the share price of Nyadi Hydropower Limited has seen a negative circuit.

In terms of transaction amount, NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited has seen the highest transaction of Rs 335.475 thousand 129. In terms of the number of shares traded, NIBL ​​Stable Fund has seen the highest transaction of 711 thousand 384 units.
