NEPSE rises by 17.44 points to stand at 2,693.06

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has seen a double-digit improvement. Today, the NEPSE index increased by 17.44 points to stand at 2,693.06.

According to the NEPSE, 27,559,547 shares of 323 companies were bought and sold 77,316 times, resulting in a turnover of Rs 8.586 billion. In today’s trading, the life insurance group decreased by 0.24, microfinance by 0.26, non-life insurance by 0.26 and other groups by 0.06 percent.

The sub-indices of all other groups increased. Banking by 1.88, development banks by 1.29, finance by 0.18, hotels and tourism by 0.81 and hydropower by 0.89 percent. Similarly, investment increased by 0.03 percent, production and processing by 0.65 percent, mutual funds by 0.11 percent, and business groups by 0.03 percent.

In today’s trading, the share prices of Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals Limited and Pure Energy Limited have entered a positive circuit. Among the biggest decliners, the share price of Bahari Hydropower Public Limited has decreased by 5.26 percent.
