KATHMANDU: On the third trading day of the week, today (Tuesday), the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has increased by 21.62 points. Although NEPSE increased, the transaction amount has decreased compared to the previous day.
Compared to the previous trading day, NEPSE increased by 0.82 percent and settled at the 2,638.60 mark.
On Tuesday, the Sensitive Index also rose by 2.31 points and stopped at the 453.37 mark. The Sensitive Index increased by 0.51 percent compared to the previous trading day. In NEPSE on Tuesday, 9,364,938 shares were bought and sold through 49,093 transactions of 328 companies.
In this, transactions worth Rs 4.232 billion took place on Tuesday. In NEPSE, transactions worth Rs 6.699 billion took place on Sunday, and transactions worth Rs 5.138 billion took place on Monday.
Out of the 13 groups traded in NEPSE on Tuesday, there was green across all groups. Accordingly, the indicator of the Commercial Bank group increased by 0.30 percent, the Development Bank by 1.11 percent, the indicator of the Finance group by 0.64 percent, Hotels and Tourism by 2.02 percent, and the indicator of the Hydropower group increased by 1.27 percent.

Similarly, investment rose by 0.61 percent, life insurance by 0.70 percent, manufacturing and processing by 1.76 percent, microfinance group by 0.79 percent, mutual fund by 0.09 percent, non-life insurance by 0.52 percent, others by 0.33 percent, and the indicator of the trading group rose by 1.49 percent.
On Tuesday, the share prices of 213 companies increased in NEPSE. While the share prices of 42 companies decreased, those of six companies remained stable.
In NEPSE, which was fluctuating throughout the day, the investors of Salpa Bikas Bank earned the most on Tuesday as well. While a positive circuit occurred in Salpa’s share price on Sunday and Tuesday, it had increased by 9.99 percent on Monday. On Tuesday, the final trading price of Salpa remained at Rs 483.
Similarly, the investors of SBI Bank Nepal lost the most value, with share prices dropping by 3.58 percent.
SY Panel Nepal had the highest turnover on Tuesday. Transactions worth Rs 377.2 million of SY Panel took place today. The final share price of SY Panel on Tuesday remained at Rs 1,871 per share.
