KATHMANDU: The NEPSE index, which measures share trading in the securities market, increased by 47.22 points today.
According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the index rose by 1.81% compared to the previous trading day, reaching 2,647.44 points.
The Sensitive Index, which tracks trading of large companies, also climbed by 7.84 points, reaching 456.13 points. Along with the rise in NEPSE, today’s total transaction amount also increased.
A total of 330 companies saw 142,04,362 shares traded, amounting to Rs. 7.03 billion.
NEPSE reported that all sector sub-indices recorded gains today. Based on transaction value, Nepal Life Insurance topped the list with trading worth Rs. 248.15 million.
Similarly, Jhapa Energy Limited hit the positive circuit after its share price surged by 10%.
Investors of Sagar Distillery Limited, Bandipur Cable Car, Swastik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha, and Srinagar Agrotech Industry Limited earned more than 9% today.
In contrast, investors of Mabilung Energy Limited incurred a loss of 4.44% in today’s trading.
