KATHMANDU: After falling for the previous two trading days, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index posted a modest recovery today. The benchmark index increased by 5.08 points to close at 2,731.59.
A total of 23,618,186 shares of 334 companies were traded through 121,992 transactions, resulting in a total turnover of NPR 11.49 billion.
Except for the banking, investment, life insurance, microfinance, and non-life insurance sub-indices, all other sectoral indices recorded gains. The share prices of Corporate Development Bank Limited and Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company Limited hit the positive circuit.
Meanwhile, the price of Goodwill Finance Limited Debenture–2083 declined the most, falling by 8.07 percent.
