NEPSE sees double-digit growth to settle at 2,739.82

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has seen double-digit growth continuously. The NEPSE index, which increased by 19.56 points on Sunday and 29.87 points on Monday, increased by 11.91 points today.

After increasing by 0.43 percent, the NEPSE index has settled at 2,739.82. Today, 18.23 million, 302 shares of 314 companies were bought and sold 99,585 times, generating a turnover of Rs 10.43 billion, 70 million and 214 thousand.

In today’s trading, banking increased by 0.22 percent, investment by 1.24 percent, life insurance by 1.74 percent, non-life insurance by 0.30 percent, trade by 0.41 percent and other groups by 3.67 percent. The sub-indices of all other groups decreased.

Development Bank 1.74, Finance 1.50, Hotels and Tourism 1.04, Hydropower 0.13, Production and Processing 0.06, Microfinance 0.79 and Mutual Fund 0.05 percent decreased. The share prices of Veen Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, Emerging Nepal Limited and Guardian Microlife Insurance Limited have entered a positive circuit.

Similarly, the share prices of Saptakoshi Development Limited and Kumari Debenture-2086 have entered a negative circuit. Based on the transaction amount and number of shares traded, Himalayan Reinsurance Limited is ahead. This company has traded 893,085 shares worth Rs 820 million, 236,910 today.
