KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index witnessed a moderate drop. Today, the NEPSE index fell by 5.03 percent, settling at 2,609.03 points.
A total of 8,647,948 shares of 329 companies were traded 91,394 times, amounting to a transaction value of NPR 3.73 billion, according to NEPSE. Except for mutual funds, all sectoral sub-indices declined in today’s trading.
Shares of Swastik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited and Muktinath Krishi Company Limited hit the positive circuit today. Meanwhile, Jhapa Energy Limited recorded the highest drop, with its share price falling by 9.30 percent.
