KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), which had been experiencing continuous decline for the past six days, recorded a slight improvement today. NEPSE index increased by 7.39 points, reaching 2,614.07.
A total of 8,742,084 shares of 331 companies were traded 62,665 times, amounting to a turnover of Rs. 3.75 billion.
In today’s trading, the sub-indices of Banking (–0.12%), Microfinance (–0.06%), Non-life Insurance (–0.17%), and Trading (–0.01%) declined, while all other sectoral indices rose.
The sub-indices of Development Bank (+0.31%), Finance (+0.40%), Hotels & Tourism (+0.88%), Hydropower (+0.84%), Investment (+0.16%), and Life Insurance (+0.82%) increased. Similarly, Manufacturing & Processing (+0.53%), Mutual Fund (+0.37%), and Others (+0.34%) also registered gains.
Swastik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. and Srinagar Agritech Industries Ltd. hit the positive circuit limit.
The biggest loser of the day was Himstar Urja Company Ltd., whose share price dropped by 3.88%.
In terms of transaction amount and share volume, Ngadi Group Power Ltd. topped the list with 768,065 shares traded, worth Rs. 319,206,713.
