KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a significant surge on Sunday, gaining 26.53 points to close at 2,622.28.
This marks a 1.02 percent rise from the previous trading session.
A total of 166,431,114 shares worth Rs 7.12 billion were traded throughout the day.
Out of 328 listed companies traded, 185 saw a rise in their share prices, while 63 declined. No company remained unchanged.
During the day, 74,752 transactions were recorded.
All sectoral indices, except for Manufacturing and Processing, registered gains.
The banking sector led the rally with a 2 percent increase, while the Hotel and Tourism sector showed the smallest gain at 0.09 percent.
