KATHMANDU: On the first trading day of the week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has seen a high growth. The NEPSE index has increased by 75.24 points to 2,890 points. Which is an increase of 2.67 percent.
Today, 29,166,656 shares of 302 different companies were bought and sold 139,596 times, resulting in a turnover of Rs 14.25 billion 475,736.
In today’s trading, the sub-index of the mutual fund group has decreased by 1.27 percent, while the sub-index of all other groups has remained green. The highest increase was seen in the manufacturing and processing group by 4.79, the life insurance group by 4.31, the hotel and tourism group by 4.28, and the finance group by 4.28 percent.
Banking increased by 2.53 percent, Development Bank by 3.88 percent, Hydropower by 1.98 percent, Investment by 3.03 percent, Microfinance by 1.35 percent, Non-Life Insurance by 3.41 percent, Trade by 1.06 percent and other groups by 1.51 percent.
The share prices of Himalayan Distillery Limited, Guardian Microlife Insurance Limited and Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited have entered a positive circuit. The share price of Samaj Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited has entered a negative circuit.
In terms of transaction amount, Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited has the highest turnover of Rs. 975.377 million. In terms of number of shares traded, Ghalemdi Hydro Limited has the highest turnover of 873.576 shares.
