KATHMANDU: This morning, the newly appointed Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Dr. Biswo Nath Poudel, visited the Ministry of Finance and held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel.

During the meeting, Finance Minister Paudel congratulated the new governor and extended his best wishes for a successful tenure.

The minister expressed confidence that the governor would take important and fruitful initiatives to coordinate monetary and fiscal policies, and address the challenges faced in the economy and monetary sectors.

Governor Poudel stated that the Ministry of Finance leads the country’s economy while Nepal Rastra Bank supports fiscal policy implementation through monetary policy.

He also emphasized strengthening the bank’s supervisory capacity to enhance the effectiveness of the financial sector.

On this occasion, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari, Finance Secretary Ghanshyam Upadhyay, Revenue Secretary Dinesh Kumar Ghimire, and others congratulated and extended their best wishes to the newly appointed governor.
