KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has decided to reduce the prices of diesel, kerosene, and domestic aviation fuel. According to the corporation, the new prices will come into effect from midnight on Sunday.
According to NOC Executive Director Chandika Prasad Bhatt, the price of diesel and kerosene has been reduced by Rs 4 per liter, while the price of domestic aviation fuel has been decreased by Rs 1 per liter. However, the prices of petrol and LPG gas remain unchanged.
The price adjustment was made following the revised purchase rates received from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), which showed a decrease of Rs 3.96 per liter in diesel, Rs 0.21 per liter in petrol, and Rs 1.48 per liter in aviation fuel.
With this adjustment, the retail price of diesel in the Kathmandu Valley now stands at Rs 144 per liter. Similarly, the price of aviation fuel used for international flights has also been reduced by USD 7 per kiloliter.
