NRB announces foreign exchange rates for today

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced today’s foreign exchange rates.

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one U.S. dollar has been set at Rs. 141.78 and the selling rate at Rs. 142.38.

Likewise, one Euro is valued at Rs. 163.85 for buying and Rs. 164.54 for selling, while the UK Pound Sterling stands at Rs. 188.16 and Rs. 188.95 respectively. The Swiss Franc has been fixed at Rs. 176.32 (buying) and Rs. 177.07 (selling).

Similarly, the Australian Dollar is priced at Rs. 91.50 for buying and Rs. 91.89 for selling, the Canadian Dollar at Rs. 100.79 and Rs. 101.22, and the Singapore Dollar at Rs. 108.96 and Rs. 109.42.

For Asian currencies, the Japanese Yen (10 units) is set at Rs. 9.33 (buying) and Rs. 9.36 (selling), the Chinese Yuan at Rs. 19.86 and Rs. 19.94, the Saudi Arabian Riyal at Rs. 37.80 and Rs. 37.96, and the Qatari Riyal at Rs. 38.90 and Rs. 39.06.

Similarly, the Thai Baht stands at Rs. 4.32 (buying) and Rs. 4.34 (selling), the UAE Dirham at Rs. 38.60 and Rs. 38.76, the Malaysian Ringgit at Rs. 33.52 and Rs. 33.66, the South Korean Won (100 units) at Rs. 9.88 and Rs. 9.93, the Swedish Kroner at Rs. 14.85 and Rs. 14.92, and the Danish Kroner at Rs. 21.94 and Rs. 22.03.

In addition, the Hong Kong Dollar is valued at Rs. 18.24 (buying) and Rs. 18.31 (selling), the Kuwaiti Dinar at Rs. 461.79 and Rs. 463.75, the Bahraini Dinar at Rs. 376.09 and Rs. 377.69, and the Omani Riyal at Rs. 368.24 and Rs. 369.80. The exchange rate for 100 Indian Rupees has been fixed at Rs. 160 for buying and Rs. 160.15 for selling.

The NRB stated that these exchange rates are subject to revision at any time based on necessity.

It also noted that commercial banks may set slightly different rates, and the most recent official rates can be accessed through the central bank’s website.
