KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs. 142.88 and the selling rate at Rs. 143.48.

Similarly, the buying rate for one European Euro is Rs. 164.61 and the selling rate is Rs. 165.30; the buying rate for one UK Pound Sterling is Rs. 186.61 and the selling rate is Rs. 187.39; and the buying rate for one Swiss Franc is Rs. 177.22, with the selling rate set at Rs. 177.96.

The buying rate for one Australian Dollar is Rs. 91.99 and the selling rate is Rs. 92.38; for one Canadian Dollar, the buying rate is Rs. 101.40 and the selling rate is Rs. 101.82; and for one Singapore Dollar, the buying and selling rates are Rs. 109.22 and Rs. 109.68, respectively.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese Yen is Rs. 9.11 and the selling rate is Rs. 9.15; for one Chinese Yuan, the buying rate is Rs. 20.09 and the selling rate is Rs. 20.18; for one Saudi Arabian Riyal, the buying rate is Rs. 38.10 and the selling rate is Rs. 38.26; and for one Qatari Riyal, the buying and selling rates are Rs. 39.20 and Rs. 39.36, respectively.

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one Thai Baht is Rs. 4.39 and the selling rate is Rs. 4.41; for one UAE Dirham, the buying and selling rates are Rs. 38.90 and Rs. 39.06; for one Malaysian Ringgit, the rates are Rs. 34.44 (buying) and Rs. 34.58 (selling); for 100 South Korean Won, the buying and selling rates are Rs. 9.69 and Rs. 9.73; for one Swedish Krona, the rates are Rs. 14.91 (buying) and Rs. 14.98 (selling); and for one Danish Krone, the buying rate is Rs. 22.04 and the selling rate is Rs. 22.13.

The bank has also listed the buying rate for one Hong Kong Dollar as Rs. 18.35 and the selling rate as Rs. 18.43; for one Kuwaiti Dinar, Rs. 465.01 (buying) and Rs. 466.97 (selling); for one Bahraini Dinar, Rs. 378.99 (buying) and Rs. 380.58 (selling); and for one Omani Riyal, Rs. 371.12 (buying) and Rs. 372.68 (selling). The buying rate for 100 Indian Rupees has been set at Rs. 160 and the selling rate at Rs. 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time if necessary. It also noted that the rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the updated official rates will be available on the central bank’s website.
