KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has determined the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs. 142.88 and the selling rate at Rs. 143.48.
Similarly, the buying rate for one Euro is Rs. 164.49 and the selling rate is Rs. 165.18; for one UK Pound Sterling, the buying rate is Rs. 187.07 and the selling rate is Rs. 187.86; and for one Swiss Franc, the buying rate is Rs. 176.65 and the selling rate is Rs. 177.39.
The buying rate for one Australian Dollar is Rs. 92.14 and the selling rate Rs. 92.53, while one Canadian Dollar has a buying rate of Rs. 101.32 and selling rate of Rs. 101.75. The buying rate for one Singapore Dollar is Rs. 109.35 and the selling rate Rs. 109.81.
For Japanese Yen (10 units), the buying rate is Rs. 9.14 and the selling rate Rs. 9.17; for one Chinese Yuan, the buying rate is Rs. 20.10 and the selling rate Rs. 20.19. The buying rate for one Saudi Arabian Riyal is Rs. 38.10 and the selling rate Rs. 38.26, while one Qatari Riyal has a buying rate of Rs. 39.21 and a selling rate of Rs. 39.37.
According to the central bank, the buying rate for one Thai Baht is Rs. 4.41 and the selling rate Rs. 4.43; for one UAE Dirham, the buying rate is Rs. 38.90 and the selling rate Rs. 39.06; for one Malaysian Ringgit, the buying and selling rates are Rs. 34.44 and Rs. 34.58, respectively. For South Korean Won (100 units), the buying rate is Rs. 9.72 and the selling rate Rs. 9.76; for one Swedish Krona, the buying rate is Rs. 14.96 and the selling rate Rs. 15.02; and for one Danish Krone, the buying rate is Rs. 22.03 and the selling rate Rs. 22.12.
The central bank has set the buying rate for one Hong Kong Dollar at Rs. 18.36 and the selling rate at Rs. 18.44; for one Kuwaiti Dinar, the buying rate is Rs. 464.83 and the selling rate Rs. 466.78; for one Bahraini Dinar, the rates are Rs. 378.99 (buying) and Rs. 380.58 (selling); and for one Omani Riyal, the buying rate is Rs. 371.60 and the selling rate Rs. 373.16. The buying rate for 100 Indian Rupees has been fixed at Rs. 160.00, and the selling rate at Rs. 160.15.
Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these rates may be revised at any time depending on necessity. It also noted that exchange rates set by commercial banks may differ and that updated rates are available on the central bank’s website.
