KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the determined rates, the buying rate for one US dollar is NPR 146.81 and the selling rate is NPR 147.41.

Similarly, the buying rate for one European euro is NPR 173.65 and the selling rate is NPR 174.36. The UK pound sterling has been set at a buying rate of NPR 200.32 and a selling rate of NPR 201.14, while the Swiss franc stands at NPR 188.15 for buying and NPR 188.91 for selling.

The Australian dollar is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 101.24 and a selling rate of NPR 101.65. The Canadian dollar has a buying rate of NPR 107.16 and a selling rate of NPR 107.59, while the Singapore dollar is fixed at NPR 115.42 for buying and NPR 115.89 for selling.

For Japanese yen, the buying rate for 10 units is NPR 9.43 and the selling rate is NPR 9.47. The Chinese yuan has been set at NPR 21.08 for buying and NPR 21.17 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal is fixed at NPR 39.14 for buying and NPR 39.30 for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at NPR 40.28 for buying and NPR 40.45 for selling.

According to the central bank, the Thai baht has a buying rate of NPR 4.74 and a selling rate of NPR 4.76. The UAE dirham is set at NPR 39.97 for buying and NPR 40.13 for selling. The Malaysian ringgit has been fixed at NPR 36.65 for buying and NPR 36.80 for selling. The South Korean won (100 units) is being traded at NPR 10.15 for buying and NPR 10.19 for selling. The Swedish krona has a buying rate of NPR 16.40 and a selling rate of NPR 16.46, while the Danish krone is set at NPR 23.26 for buying and NPR 23.35 for selling.

NRB has also fixed the Hong Kong dollar at a buying rate of NPR 18.83 and a selling rate of NPR 18.91. The Kuwaiti dinar stands at NPR 480.95 for buying and NPR 482.92 for selling. The Bahraini dinar has been set at NPR 389.39 for buying and NPR 390.98 for selling, while the Omani riyal is fixed at NPR 381.31 for buying and NPR 382.87 for selling. Likewise, the buying rate for 100 Indian rupees is NPR 160 and the selling rate is NPR 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also noted that the rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the updated rates are available on the central bank’s website.
