NRB sets new foreign exchange rates for today

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the foreign currency exchange rates for today.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one U.S. dollar has been set at Rs. 140.65, while the selling rate is Rs. 141.25.

For the Euro, the buying rate is Rs. 165.20 and the selling rate is Rs. 165.91. The U.K. Pound Sterling is valued at a buying rate of Rs. 189.46 and a selling rate of Rs. 190.26, while the Swiss Franc stands at Rs. 176.80 (buying) and Rs. 177.55 (selling).

The Australian Dollar has been fixed at Rs. 92.74 (buying) and Rs. 93.14 (selling), the Canadian Dollar at Rs. 102.06 and Rs. 102.50, and the Singapore Dollar at Rs. 109.47 and Rs. 109.94.

For Japanese Yen (10 units), the buying rate is Rs. 9.51 and the selling rate is Rs. 9.55. The Chinese Yuan is set at Rs. 19.77 (buying) and Rs. 19.85 (selling). The Saudi Arabian Riyal is valued at Rs. 37.50 and Rs. 37.66, while the Qatari Riyal stands at Rs. 38.59 and Rs. 38.75.

According to the central bank, the Thai Baht is fixed at Rs. 4.42 (buying) and Rs. 4.44 (selling). The UAE Dirham is at Rs. 38.29 and Rs. 38.46, the Malaysian Ringgit at Rs. 33.43 and Rs. 33.57, the South Korean Won (100 units) at Rs. 10.07 and Rs. 10.11, the Swedish Kroner at Rs. 14.95 and Rs. 15.01, and the Danish Kroner at Rs. 22.13 and Rs. 22.23.

The Hong Kong Dollar is set at Rs. 18.09 (buying) and Rs. 18.17 (selling). The Kuwaiti Dinar is valued at Rs. 461.37 (buying) and Rs. 463.34 (selling). The Bahraini Dinar stands at Rs. 373.00 and Rs. 374.59, while the Omani Riyal is at Rs. 365.30 and Rs. 366.85.

For the Indian Rupee, the exchange rate has been fixed at Rs. 160.00 (buying) and Rs. 160.15 (selling) per 100 units.

The central bank stated that these rates may be revised at any time if required. It further noted that commercial banks may set different rates, and the latest updates are available on the Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
