KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has requested banks and financial institutions to keep banking services open for customs clearance and related transactions even during the festival holidays, except on the day of Bhai Tika.

The central bank issued a circular to Class A, B, and C banks and financial institutions, urging them to keep the banking system operational to facilitate trade and ensure smooth supply management.

Similarly, NRB announced that the Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system will remain functional today (Saturday) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
